In alignment with the Duwamish Valley Action Plan and feedback from the community, the Georgetown Healthy Food Initiative (GHFI) was formed to improve access to healthy food in Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood.

GHFI is largely composed of people who live and work in Georgetown, and allies with community organizations, neighbors, and local food producers, suppliers, and vendors.

At the heart of our commitment is a belief that food is not just sustenance; it is a cultural bridge, a communal thread that ties us all together. Our focus extends beyond the mere provision of nourishment; it encompasses the creation of a vibrant, inclusive community where everyone, from artists to dreamers, finds a seat at our table.
